Intro

Hyphi started as a way for farmers to bring their fresh produce closer to their customers. With a lower level of digital literacy, farmers rely on physical spaces to attract consumers.

This meant there was a gap in the market for a modern, quick and easy way to reach new audiences.

Research

To create a product that bridged farmers and consumers, we sought to ask:
How do we make a digital platform easy and accessible, for both audiences to connect seamlessly?

🥩 Meat Vendor
Only sell to retail (restaurants) and @ farmers markets
🍎 Fruit Farm
Travels far distances to farmer's markets in 100 mi radius - has physical ledgers only, no digital tools
🍯 Honey Seller
New local vendor, interested in market expansion
🥐 Pastry shop
Social media presence, with new and long-time customers coming on a regular basis
2 user bases, 2 interfaces

Hyphi's 2 main user groups meant they have different needs for the platform. Therefore, the interfaces were designed with two types of information hierarchies, two different action flows.

Discover Map

A discover map allows customers to see what local produce they have, in their area, and using their delivery options. Making farm-to-table just that much faster.

Checkout shows an item list, separated by vendor. Get to know the specialties each vendor offers.
